I have had 22 years of clinical experience within the NHS and private nursing sector. As a Registered General Nurse and Registered Midwife, I have held numerous positions of seniority over the years, including my final role as Nursing Director. In all positions I was responsible for accurate record keeping and working as an autonomous practitioner. I’ve mentored junior staff and provided education programmes within the community and hospital clinics.

As a midwife I was responsible for the care of clients and their babies, before, during and after delivery, demonstrating research-based practice to a high standard. I’ve worked within a multidisciplinary team within clinics demographically based within disadvantaged communities, experienced teenage pregnancies, substance misuse and socio-economic deprivation and all the associated problems of the community.

Working with adult learners is a privilege, the NHS was my first love, and by working with our adult learners I am able to assist them into new life opportunities to be able to fulfil their goals and dreams.
