    Why should students choose your subject?

    If you would like a career in the Police, Prison Service, Fire Service, Armed Services or any other Protective Services this course will help you gain the knowledge and practical skills to gain entry. We study a lot of units including Crime and its effects, Citizenship, Leadership and Fitness. We are a specialist Protective Service teaching team and our staff have a lot of experience and links with the services which can help you make informed decisions to achieve your career ambitions.

    Where do students progress to after studying your subject?

    The majority of our student’s progress to University to study course such as Policing, Criminology, Criminal Justice, Law and Psychology. Other learners join the Armed Services or get apprenticeships using the skills they developed on the course.

    Why should students choose your subject?

    Within the School we offer the L1 and L2 Public Service’s course and a L1 Vocational Studies course. During you time on any one of our courses we look to develop you as not only a student but also as a person. We look at preparing you for your next steps in your academic study but also make you more desirable to employers. We look at the at the public services in a wide range from crime and its effects to responding to incidents. Through looking at the Public services we develop skills that will make you prepared for where ever your next steps will take you.

    Where do students progress to after studying your subject?

    Many of our students from the Level 1 course stay with us and progress straight through on to the Level 3 courses. We pride ourselves on developing students to be ready for the next level of education or prepared to enter the work environment.
