Jackie Alty
Job Title: Course Leader – Leadership & Management
Jackie Alty has a wealth of professional experience within the beauty industry as a salon manager, and a regional manager. Whilst undertaking the role of regional manager, she took an additional role as a trainer within the company, this inspired her to move from industry to teaching. Jackie has experiences through other professional employment within the UK and during her time abroad in Australia, these experiences, combined with her educational training have aided her development as an industry led teacher.
My role at Runshaw
I am the Course Leader for Leadership and Management. I believe the needs of the students are at the heart of my philosophy of education. My aim is to ensure all my students are taught well, so that they can reach their full potential and have their strengths valued so they can be built upon.

Adults (19+)This qualification will give you the core skills to lead a team successfully and the confidence to tackle difficult issues, like underperformance. You’ll learn how to plan, allocate and monitor work; tools and techniques to develop yourself as a leader; and how to get the most from your team.

Adults (19+)An Operations or Departmental Manager is someone who manages teams and/or projects, and achieving operational or departmental goals and objectives, as part of the delivery of the organisations strategy. They are accountable to a more senior manager or business owner. Our Leadership and Management course allows you to have the responsibility of managing a team, managing projects and delivering operational plans.
