    You will also plan and carry out a research project and develop your study skills in: note taking, planning / structuring essays, critical and creative thinking and effective referencing.

    The course is FREE if:

    – you are aged 19-23 and do not previously hold a Level 3 qualification or higher.

    There is also an option to set up a payment plan, to pay in 4 consecutive monthly payments. Please contact the adult education team today to find out more about the prices of the course.

    Times: Wednesday and Thursday 9.15-12.15 & 13.15-16.15.

  • Entry Requirements

    GCSE English Language, Science and maths at grade A*-C/9-4. Some Universities require students to have a full UK manual driving licence, with no more than 6 points.

    Please be aware that if your long-term goal is to work within the healthcare professions, it will be necessary to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at your place of employment. If you have a criminal conviction this may exclude you from working in some job roles.

    You will also be required to complete a pre-interview task after submitting your application.

  • How will I be assessed?

    Assessment will be via assignment work, research projects, examinations, reports and reflective accounts.

  • Progression Pathway

    On successful completion of this course you will be able to progress to a higher level qualification / degree.

    It is important that prior to enrolling you research and contact the institution you wish to progress to, to ensure you are aware of the entry requirements for your chosen progression route and that this access course will be accepted as an entry requirement.
