  • Overview

    The Foundation Certificate in People Practice consists of four core units set by our CIPD team:

    Core units:

    • Business, culture and change in context
    • Principles of analytics
    • Core behaviours for people professions
    • Essentials of people practice

    Learners are required to purchase their CIPD membership prior to starting the course. Please contact our admissions team for assistance.

    Times: Thursday evenings, 5.00pm-8.30pm, across 34 weeks.

  • Equipment Required

    You will need access to a laptop or PC with video and microphone. Classes will be delivered mainly over MS Teams.

  • Entry Requirements

    All applicants should have 2 years of work experience and 5 GCSEs or equivalent including minimum Grade C/4 in Maths and English.

    If you do not meet these requirements, then you should send in a CV to adulteducation@runshaw.ac.uk and this will be reviewed by our Course Leader.

    Learners will also need to become a member of The Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) and will need to pay the annual CIPD membership fee. For more information regarding the membership fee, please click here.

  • Progression Pathway

    On successful completion of this course you will be awarded a certificate by the CIPD will be eligible for Foundation Member status. You could apply to our Level 5 CIPD Course in People Management.

  • Delivery Method - Blended

    Blended learning over 1 academic year, one evening will be classroom based and 1 evening on Microsoft Teams.

    This course will be delivered through blended learning. This means a mix of classroom-based lessons and a small amount of online lessons.
