    The Foundation Certificate in People Practice consists of four core units set by our CIPD team:

    Core units:

    • Business, culture and change in context

    • Principles of analytics

    • Core behaviours for people professions

    • Essentials of people practice

    A total of 240 learning hours is required to successfully complete the course, of which 120 hours should be independent learning. It will take 10 months to complete the qualification.

    *Price: £1,450.00, exc CIPD Membership Fee. Student membership is now £123 plus a £40 joining fee (£163 in total).

    Times: Thursdays, 9.00am-12.30pm, or 1.00pm-4,30pm or 5.30pm-8.30pm, across 35 weeks (5 weeks onsite and 30 weeks online)

  • Equipment Required

    You will need access to a laptop or PC with video and microphone. Classes will be delivered mainly over MS Teams.

  • Entry Requirements

    All applicants should have 2 years work experience and 5 GCSEs or equivalent including minimum Grade C/4 in Maths and English.

    If you do not meet these requirements, then you should send in a CV to adulteducation@runshaw.ac.uk and this will be reviewed by our Course Leader.

    Learners will also need to become a member of The Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) and will need to pay the annual CIPD membership fee, currently £149 (price correct February 2023). Please note that if you are joining or re-joining CIPD membership there is an administrative charge of £40 in addition to the membership fee.

  • Progression Pathway

    On successful completion of this course you will be awarded a certificate by the CIPD will be eligible for Foundation Member status.
